A Birthday Party screens

This time last year, we were filming A Birthday Party. It was a film shot during the pandemic so naturally, we had good, bad and downright ugly moments. But we came out with a film and zero cases of Covid 19. It starts the journey to audiences on the 8th of March, coincidentally International Women’s Day, at the Canadian Screen qualifying, Vancouver International Women in Film Festival. A fitting first stop for a film that has a predominantly female cast and was made with a predominantly female crew.
